Gn Chap 19 vs30-38- We are all familiar with the story of "Sodom & Lot". This incident had nothing to do with homosexuality as any intellegent person knows . The sin was disobediance about showing courtesy to strangers. anyway Lot offers his virgin daughters to the mob, but no takers. Next day Lot, his soon to be salty old wife & 2 daughters head for the hills to hide out in a cave. The old girl is turned to salt, so it's daddy and the girls. Having matured a bit the girls get daddy drunk and even without "Viagra " he gets them both pregnant.So much for the blushing virgin part of the story.
If you check out Lev Chap 20, there are many reasons to put ppl to death;
Vs 9 anyone who curses either parent must die.
Vs 10 anyone who commits adultery must die
Vs 13 anyone who lies with someone of the same sex, must die;
Vs 27 anyone who is a magician must be put to death by stoning
Ex Chap 22 vs 17; You will not suffer a witch to live, Think of the countless innocent mostly women but men also who suffered hideous deaths because of this 1 verse.

You need to distinguish between homosexuality and homosexual behavior. Homosexuality is being sexually attracted only to members of the same gender. Homosexual behavior is having sex with a member of the same gender.

Homosexual behavior has been observed in many different species of animals. It is certainly not something invented by humans. However, we have not been able to ask the animals about their gender preference so we do not know if other animals are true homosexuals, bisexuals, or have some other reason for engaging in homosexual behavior. Animals have sex for very instinctual reasons. A dog will try to have sex with almost anything, even non-living things.

Homosexual behavior in humans has been known in all cultures from the beginning of history. They varied in their acceptance of it. Greece and Rome were very accepting of it, Israel was not. With the spread of the Jewish morality through Christianity, homosexual behavior was regarded as deviant and evil whereas before it had been natural and desirable in many cultures.

The idea of homosexuals in humans was not common in the West until the 1970's. Before than because homosexual behavior was regarded as deviant, it was assumed that everyone was heterosexual and that some simply acted in a deviant fashion for some reason (use mythological such as demons). In the 1970's it came to be recognized that some people are only attracted to members of their same gender.

I really think it was more common in certain cities in ancient history than it is now. Then they are "punished" or a great natural disaster happens, then you goes though these long period of times where people are more conservative.

A modern example of this would be New Orleans. Some say its just a natural distaster. Others say its punishment from God, because they always danced around like fools on Fat Tuesday and exposed themselves. Either way, the city will probably be more subdued. Especially they are hit twice. Lets hope not.

I read this book Pompeii by Robert Harris(excellent book) and although its fiction, it really shows the sexuallity of those times. His writing can be graphic so be warned.

Prior to the flood, demons were showing men how to make mirrors and do black magic. There is also referece in the Bible of woman having sex with demons and their children being giants. I think it would be a strech to say that they taught humans how to be gay. I think we could learn though our own. But maybe they had the internet, lol.
