to be honest with you thizzz, figo, zidane and nedved, i think there time was up or coming very close to it so it was expected, but what threw me way off was riquelme, even thou he is from argentina, brasil's rival, i like the way he played an created things on the pitch, excellent player, an argentina are gonna miss him, but on the brighter that makes it easier for brasil, lol... but i wanted to say thanks to you for your nice comments on one the answers i had.... your a doll....

Its sad to see Figo retire without winning a World Cup. At least Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo and Cafu have won 1 for their countries. We will all miss these great players.

Definitely Figo and Zidane!
Both were classy and legendary.
They have a stylish way of playing.
My heart is still not ready to belive their retirement but thats life! All players have to stop someday. But still sometimes I begin to wish if there could be a way to make players play forever!( Know thats crazy!)

it's sad to see these wonderful players leave the game..riquelme was a complete surprise for me..he's one heck of a playmaker..i still think he's got a lot to give..but..oh well..it's his call..

im sad about figo, zidane, riqulme, nedved, roberto carlos, beckham (didnt retire, but got dropped so yeah), ali daei, zandi (got dropped too), cicinho (got dropped too!!!! i hate that!! but he still could come back so yeah), nistelrooy, cafu, &alot more. :/
to tell you the truth, i didnt know nedved was retired until you said he was. but still, i got sad when i heard it. :(
