Don’t get me wrong, im not denying the holocaust here, or am i in any way condoning what happen. I recognise that it was a terrible event in history. But when people are put in prison for denying something which is an almost universal historical fact, i don’t get it.
If we persecute people for their false beliefs then how should we treat people who believe with all their hearts a false biblical record of the earth, people who deny fossil evidence, or even those people who think Xenu once ruled over the galaxy?

Some of your examples are of the chart - but your question is a good one.

No, I don't believe it should be a crime to believe anything you want to believe - but I think if you believe the Holocaust never happened, it definitely should be grounds for a psychiatric evaluation.

Let's see. Many years ago it was a crime punishable by death to disagree with the church that the earth was the center of the universe. To say that the earth revolved around the sun was a bad thing. Not to say that I agree with prison for those that are ignorant. Just the op posit. If that was the case, all the old popes and priest etc. should have been put in prison rather than the learned men that sought out the truth. There are people that still belong to the flat earth society. Should we put them in prison because they are ignorant? If a person wants to show their ignorance I say lets just get our laugh at their expense and move on.

To say denying the Holocaust is worthy of being a crime is sorta like saying that denying dinosaurs existed is worthy of being a crime. This is a free country and anyone can believe anything they want. If I want to believe that it was aliens that killed all the Jews, then that's my choice (I don't, but I use that as an example).

Germany has it's own laws, and if they want to criminalize denial of the Holocaust, that's their choice. Germany is not a free country like America is. They have certain freedoms there, but if you look at their laws and government, they have maybe 50% of the freedoms Americans do.

No it is not a crime but foolish to do so. The Turks have been denying the brutal Armenian Hollocost ever since they did so in 1915...maybe the Jewish Hollocost would never happened if everyone had recognized the signs like what happened to the poor Armenians..

So Hilter wasn't so original as he's made out be.... There is nothing new under the sun...only what has been is denied.

Germany has until now made the denial of the Holocaust against the regulation. Are you so irresponsible as to earnings Israel in Gaza to genocide, to Auschwitz? bypass there earlier you write yet another poisoned be conscious on the subject depend--bypass to the two places.

Denying the Holocaust shouldn't be and isn't a crime. It's a matter of one's opinion. A stupid one, I think, but still it's an opinion. For the record, I think the Holocaust actually did happen.

Of course not. In America at least, people have the ability to think and say whatever they want, unless it directly harms another. But in Germany, it's a national crime.

no... but it shouldn't be taken seriously.

that would be like criminalizing people who believe in god (or if you believe in god making criminals out of those who don't)

i think the nazis were like this, you know punish everyone who doesn't fit into our pre-determined mold
