3/4x+1/x^2+5/x^2

To add fractions, you need a common denominator.

The factors of each denominator is:
4, x, x (x is twice because it's x^2). The common denominator will therefore be 4x^2.

3/4x * x/x + 1/x^2 * 4/4 + 5/x^2 * 4/4
3x / 4x^2 + 4/4x^2 + 20/4x^2

Now, add the numerators:
(3x + 4 + 20) / 4x^2
(3x + 24) / 4x^2 (solution!)
