It would appear to depend on the temperature. Peanut butter, at room temperature, is LESS dense than chocolate. However, at various temperatures, this condition changes (warmer temperatures will melt chocolate into a liquid while peanut butter remains more dense). So ... you have too many variables.

all of the chocolate in my house is a solid at room temperature but the peanut butter can be carefully spread on bread.
That tells me the chocolate is more dense.

I would have to say Peanut Butter. Even when peanut butter is melted it has a thickness to it that is much thicker than chocolate. Even if chocolate is melted.

I think peanut butter. a jar of peanut butter weighs more than a jar of chocolate. So it's more mass in the same volume, which = higher density.

Get equal parts of both of these substances. Make sure they're at the same temperature. Drop them in water. Whichever one floats that's the denser one.
