I post two Q's about this but they were removed (don't know why...) so I can't give a link but you can see what I'm talking about in www.goal.com!!!!!!
The Inter Milan defender has been signed up by American multinational Nike to be their poster boy in a new advert that highlights the resistance of the Italian’s chest - and their special weave...

I agree with Mujahid 150%..if this is meant for marketing, then it's a very bad one..it would have been so much better if they choose Cannavaro or Buffon or Totti or even Pirlo..
BTW,regarding your avatar,is that Lionel Messi on Ronaldinho's back?? I like that pic very much..personally,to me,it symbolises true sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship with no boundaries..very nice pic..I hope you won't change it..

Now, Nike is falling into the cheating and make believe game, it ridiculizes him more than anything else because we all know that MateRATzi is not a real man, he was down with his butt up in the air and cried for 10 minutes, that's what happened.
The new Nike Football shoes that MateRATzi will be wearing are made steel-toed style so that he can do what he loves best, kick the players in the balls as hard as he can.

it's a cool way for nike to advertise their sportsware...it seems like it'll be a pretty comical commercial. but...it also almost seems a bit wrong to sort of 'mimick' a real life situation that took place that was and remains a controversial matter among thousands of fans around the world. there's no doubt that some will find it humorous and they'll get a good laugh out of it, but there are also going to be lots of fans who are going to upset with the commercial. but i guess you can't make everyone happy...thanks for the info, it was quite interesting. i'll be watching out to see what the commercial is actually going to be like...
oh i just now saw that you posted a link. that is actually a bit comical.

It's ridiculous. It doesn't surprise me that it's an italian add! They mocked Zidane the whole way through.
I just think that the whole Zidane-Materazzi thing should be out of the picture ( including adds like that).

i hate the ad..it's somewhat insulting..they should leave it alone..smart marketing maybe but they forgot to think about the french fans and zidane's fans altogether..how we feel about it?? and i know zidane would be totally offended by the ad..the guy just wanted to leave it behind but nooo materazzi decided to cash in on it..maybe nike thinks it's an excellent way to rival adidas..maybe..but not for me..i'm both a french football fan and zidane's fan altogether but i've never been biased and i always bought both nike and adidas merchandise that i like..but now thanks to the ad i'm not going to buy any nike merchandise ever again..never..

NIKE:
National Incorporated Kid Exploiter
I hate Nike.
I hate Matterazzi.
This only proves that Matterazzi faked his dive when Zidane hit him.

It's all marketing: I think it is a good idea to bring attention to their brand, nothing wrong with that: it's smart.
