The first thing you need to do is go to your local department of family and children services and apply for help. If you cannot get there then find a neighbor or friend that can help you out. This story is too often for women and a sad shame. You can't change how your husband is but you can do something about it. Im sorry that happened to you. You can bounce back and be ok. If you need someone to talk to after this you can contact me on my messenger ok. Ill be here for you...

He took the money and ran. You may be better off now. You have a second chance at life. Try the phone book most attorneys offer free consultation. Maybe they can make your husband pay the attorney's fees and court costs.

Any bill in his name-do NOT pay them. Anything in your name, try to pay. Definitely call the creditors for the bills in your name and tell then the situation. They'd prefer to help you rather than have you default and cause them grief. If you have utility bills in his name, call up and start new accounts in your name and leave the ones in his name unpaid. Just tell them that he no longer lives there and you'd like to have them switched on in your name instead. Unpaid bills in his name will be his problem, not yours.
