While I do not hold this to be true in all cirmcumstance, certain laws passed by a conservative-controlled congress do seem to show some selfishness. Example: Bush's tax cuts that hurt the poor while helping the rich. However, I think that the Democrats aren't too much better, they're just not in control. Then again, it's Bob Ney and Tom DeLay who are under investigation for bribery, not Harry Reid. The quote itself makes me chuckle, since it serves as the perfect example of the polarization of our country, blaming the other side of the aisle for all the problems, instead of working together to make them right. Just my 2 cents.
