dividing by 6 is the same as multiplying by 1/6.

Therefore 3/4 times 1/6 = 3/24 (multiply numerator and demoninator).

3/24 can be simplified as 1/8.

Lets check it: 1/8 times 6 = 6/8 or 3/4

See?

3/4 divided by six is simple just take the reciprocal of 6 (1/6) and times it by 3/4... 1/6 x 3/4 3/24 or 1/8... to find the reciprocal of any number btw is to simply take the number and swap the numeriator and the denomiater (sorry for spelling)... so 2/1 (2)becomes 1/2 ....
