Mostly for an annual physical examination. To get a check up on eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, reflexes and blood tests. to make sure the patient is healthy and does not have a hidden disease like high blood presure or diabetes.

might be a follow up on tests he ordered, or he is checking up on your status of a illness. best way is to ask the nurse what the doctor wants?
