I got this definition off of wikipedia.

"Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value. Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought.
Broadly speaking, contemporary liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, free public education, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected. In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed."

So to all you liberal basher... Do you hate these values?

Why even try?

The ones that bash liberals are so far up the @$$ of GW and the Republican party that he has to fart for them to formulate the appearance of a thought.

Just consider the source and move on with your life. You will be the better person for it, and they will have one less person listening to their "opinion".

Let's see here......"limitations on on power, especially of government " (certainly not followed by any liberal I've seen), nor is "a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected."

Liberals have illustrated too many times that they don't follow this, so although those are good values, I don't see what it has to do with the liberals here in the United States?

It sounds good to me, but I thought Liberals were for bigger government and Republicans were for less government?

It is ashamed you liberals can not follow what you preach....you say one thing and then totally turn around and do another thing and stand for something else when the polls say it is popular....unlike you democrats we Republicans stand our moral ground on issues.....we don't flip flop just too get things too suit our needs or wants....

It sounds good in theory, but it's not good for war with a religion that tolerates violence.

Geneva convention: Don't insult them.
Muslims get insulted over 'insensitive statements' and burn churches.
Liberals insist that these guys have liberties.

It just doesn't work in practice, just like communism.

I am a liberal by this definition, I believe in our constitution and will if presented fight to keep it as it is. Me being a liberal is better then being closed minded and for the very rich.
