Play some Barbra Streisand or Celine Deion music, most life forms hate those sounds. It should drive the squirell and half of your neighborhood away.

When I had a squirrel in my room, I set up a ramp so it could got out the window. But I still had to chase him up the ramp! He didn't like that. I had him cornered a few times around the room, and he growled and growled in his little squirrel voice... but eventually he got the idea and left.
Before this, he was hiding out in a pile of stuffed toys for several hours, I didn't even notice! It was too hilarious when I saw two real little eyes staring at me out of the stuffed toys...

Check your chimney to see if the screen has been damaged. If you have one. Call a pro to get it out. Happy squirrel hunting!!

If you don't want to use poisons to kill the squirrel, they sell humane traps that allow you to use bait to catch it. Once caught in the cage, you can release it somewhere far from your home.
