A cab costs $20 to $25. For say 20 minutes

The airporter bus costs $13. The trip is 1/2 hour to and hour depending on hotel. It stops at or near most hotels. So if there are 2 of you take the cab.

A car rental would depend on how long you are staying, if you are staying within downtown, etc. Hotels will charge you $10 to $25 per night parking.

I have rented before if I was staying one night. But if I was there 3 nights and most of my time right downtown, I wouldn't. More times I opt for a taxi.

Call the hotel you are staying at and find out if they have an Airport Shuttle Service. Most of the hotels in Vancouver do.

It's free when you are staying at the hotel. They usually do a circuit of hotels picking up and dropping off so it might take longer than a cab - but free!

Bus...

Pretend you are staying at the Delta Airport, and take their free shuttle. They won't ask for anything...From the Delta main entrance, there is a bus stop across the street that goes straight to downtown for a couple of dollars...

Hop a bus. There's a bus stop at the airport and it takes you right downtown.
