Jerry Rice. this isn't a question. Look at the records. Look at how the guy did it. Look at how many rings he won.

On sheer talent I think they are about equal. But Jerry Rice is the better receiver.
People will say that Jerry has all of the records, multiple superbowl rings, etc. and that is all true, but having Montana and Young as quarterbacks didn't hurt.
However, all of those accomplishments were a byproduct of what made him great. His work ethic was second to none even late in his career. He played so long because he forced himself to stay in amazing shape. He studied the nuances of the position and had the ability to create space even against a corner that was faster and younger than him. It is the way you run the route and the way you position your body. He could actually run routes in a way that FORCED the defender where he wanted them.
Jerry usually kept his mouth shut and let his performance on the field do the talking. Jerry Rice wasn't just a great receiver or football player... Jerry Rice was simply Great. There are a few players that have reached legendary status and Jerry is one of them.
The sad part is that Owens has the talent to be one of the greatest receivers in history but he'll never get there. His image is tarnished and is virtually beyond repair. He would have to do something so unprecedented that it could make up for everything else. Even winning 3 superbowls wouldn't do it alone. (I don't consider Tom Brady a legend.) He would also have to shatter the single season record for touchdowns, receptions and receiving yards in the same year all in the same season, and lead the league in all categories for at least 2-3 years.
Unfortunately, I just don't see that happening.

Good Question:
I have to say Jerry Rice because he is more famous and has the popularity. He had accomplished throughout his career by catching balls and scoring for a touchdown. For Terrell Owens, he does not get much respect to fans. He always get fines and kicked out of the team ex. eagles. Jerry Rice's future will be in the Hall Of Fame as a Niner.

Jerry Rice, hands down. Not only was he the better of the two but he was a role model, a player who played for love of the game. Dont get me wrong, money and Super Bowl rings help, but the man looked like he was 10, smiling, having fun on the field. I miss that breed of player, the one who is not in it for the endorsements or the prestige but the little boy inside the man who cannot wait til Sunday to take the field. TO doesnt have that class and he never will.

Are you out of your mind?!?! There's no comparing the two!! Jerry Rice was one of the best to ever play the game. T.O. is just an arrogant (although I will admit talented) primadonna who doesn't even deserve to play the game.
