I do understand how laws are made. I know Bush’s party controls everything. I also know the plan Bush is pushing doe not effectively secure the boarders.

Where do you live? No one is pushing a National ID system, never mind passing one.

That's a very important question, because really securing the borders is job 1 of any government.

I had the opportunity to sit beside an Arizona rancher on flight back to Tulsa from Tucson. This rancher's land is right on the border with Mexico. He told me how many illegals cross through his ranch every week. He said his land is littered with plastic water bottles and discarded backpacks. He also talked about the drug couriers who bury their drugs on his land and then hit the highway so Border Patrol can drive them back to Mexico for the next run. Of course the scary folks are the ones who come in the dead of night to dig up the drugs.

He also gave me the straight scoop on the Minute Men. Many of these men are ranchers just like him, who are extremely concerned about what is happening on the border.

This is not a liberal or conservative or bury your head in the sand kind of issue. This is "a we better start caring" issue because it affects every American and the fate of this nation.

I hope our next president makes border protection a "real" issue.

Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. Republicans in Congress just decided to build a fence. They ignore the 6000 mile border with Canada which is mostly unguarded. Republicans also sent the guard down there to help out. The guard just does not Carry arms or have the power to arrest and detain anyone.
Republicans love smoke and mirrors before election.

Where have you been. We are building a fence and we are also going to a national ID system. The individual states have the ability to post their state guard on the border for added security. The president does not have that authority unless the individual state allows them that authority. Our active military should never ever be stationed on our border. All these initiatives cost money. The democrats don't want the illegals stopped to they do what they need to do to block it, and in fact they want to give illegals access to our social security. So you need to contact your representative in congress with your wishes and get their butts moving. My representatives are fighting the fight because we let them know how we felt.

Bush wants to keep America safe as, just so long as it doesn't threaten to lose the Republicans any votes in election times. The border issue threatens to alienate the hispanic voters.

You figure it out.

Bush is soft on terrorism. And he wants open borders because now America is part of the North American Union.

The N.A.U will override our laws and our borders will be open to Mexico and Canada. American jobs will be handed over to Mexico and all unions will be destroyed.

But don't take my word for it, read it from these REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVE magazines.

The border is difficult to control because it is so massive. You have both oceans and the gulf of Mexico. To the south you have a rather long border with Mexico and to the north you have a immense amount of border to contend with. It is impossible to secure the border.

What would you have him do? You obviously have no idea how laws are made in your own country. You need to read more books.
