Vogue patterns are not for beginning sewers, and can be a challenge to somebody with medium skills. They are designed with a more experienced sewer in mind, even though they do have versions called Very Easy Vogue- I wouldn't exactly call them beginner friendly. The directions are usually pretty basic, as they assume you already know a good bit. It can be frustrating if you don't. However, if you leave yourself time, have patience, and get somebody with some experience to help you, there's no reason why you couldn't do it. But for something like a wedding dress, you are dealing with some expensive fabric for learning on. I'd suggest you make it up in a cheaper cloth, like muslin, to start and learn on. Then after you find all the tricky parts and have some practice under your belt, cut into the expensive stuff. Better to make a mistake on $2.00 per yard cotton than the much more expensive satin and lace. It will also be a good chance to see how much or where any alterations will be needed. Be aware when and if you do buy the pattern that you buy it according to the measurments listed, not by the size you usually buy in the store. Buy it a size larger than your measurements call for, so you will have room to alter and adjust. It's much easier to make a pattern smaller, and take in cloth than it is to let it out where there is no room or fabric. And as the design of most bridal gowns fit much closer to the body than usual, make sure you have and wear the undergarments and shoes you will wear on the day to do the actual fittings in. Otherwise you could have a real ugly surprise on the day of the wedding.
But if you have limited sewing experience, I wouldn't recommend a Vogue pattern for the learning. In that case I would recommend taking the pattern to an experienced seamstress and hiring her to make up the gown. It will save you a lot of frustration and expense in the long run.

My mother used to make many of my clothes. She used Vogue and Simplicity patterns and would first make a dress from an old bed sheet to make sure it would fit. Then when she was confident about the size and how to put it together, she would cut out the real dress using the fabric purchased especially for that dress. It saved a lot of money if the dress was complicated or had poorly fitting areas.
Vogue has some patterns labeled Easy, or ones that can be made in a day. Those usually are relatively simple. If you are a novice seamstress, try one of these patterns first.

Vogue makes the best patterns, you have to know sewing and the dress hardness depends on the style. I am sure with love, time, following the directions you can do it. I always open up the pattern and read the directions to see if I feel I can sew it. I am sure it will turn out beautiful.

in case you concentration on your self experienced then a complicated trend is in many circumstances more advantageous about time than difficulty. in case you've made promenade outfits then your aspect is probable intermediate so a complicated aspect trend may be an relaxing undertaking. i for my section celebrate with stitching initiatives that are tricky. there are a approach of time eating information in that distinct trend so it is going to take a lengthy time period to finish. i imagine the genuine ability for the trend will be transferring the markings from the paper trend to the style fabrics so as that each one the information bypass jointly -fantastically the wallet on the aspect, they're going to desire to be symmetrical with a view to look solid -any massive difference interior the region will make you look lop-sided. i imagine it truly is a chilled puzzle-style trend and truly really worth the attempt and time. i love the pinstriped reduce out shoulder suitable, the severe neck says "coated up" and "conservative" even with the indisputable fact that the close fit and the reduce out shoulder say horny and state-of-the-artwork. Do try the fit of the blouse in a scrap fabrics first, the fit tells the tale of the blouse. modify the try scrap fabrics first and then regulate the trend before slicing the style fabrics.
