my boyfriends doctor diagnosed him with prostate inflammation. what is this? it seems as if every time he uses the bathroom he loses weight. He was 300 muscular pounds 2 weeks ago and now he 285 pounds "soggy like mayonnaise" what is wrong with him? Is there men who have experienced this same problem? If so it would be very helpful to hear about it and to know what to do.

inflamed prostrate will not cause weight loss. what it does is make it harder to pee. the ureter goes through the prostrate gland. and when it is swollen (inflamed ) it restricts the flow. medication will take care of it. it's not a uncommon problem
