I've known or talked to people who have expressed several different reasons. Some people like to decorate themselves in unique ways, some like the idea of having a little secret under their clothes. Some people just seem to want to pierce any and every part that can be pierced, short of piercings all over their face or body... and then some do that too. Most find - for men and women - that it makes flat nipples hard and stick out all the time, as well as increasing sensitivity.
Then there's the kinky sort who use nipple piercings to control a sub or to inflict pain... :( They might attach weights to the rings, or attach a strap or chain to use like a leash. They might also use a strap or chain to restrict movement by connecting the other end to a stationary object... or even to the woman's clit or labia piercings. :( Serious. I've read about this stuff. Freaky, but hey, as they say, truth is stranger than fiction.

It is just a phase that some people go through. I rank it
sort of close to joining the Army or the Marine Corps.
Getting a ring through your nipple means that someone can really pull your chain and you must submit. In the Army they tell you to march 20 miles with a full pack. Maybe in the Marine Corps you get to carry one end of a telephone pole for 1/2 mile at a dog trot. It is all just torture of the non-ending kind, and pure hell to endure, unless you just love it.
So the fascination or the attraction as you call it is simply in the "just loving it." Like, I will endure all this pain and suffering for you, baby. Only you...

There's none in my book. If a girl pierced her nipple for me, I wouldn't know whether to be disgusted or flattered.

I don't like them persay, but my best friend had hers done and she said it enhanced the sensation when her man licked her nipples. I have my bellybutton pierced and when my man licks around it it kinda feels good.Maybe that' what it is for the titties.

They are not attractive. I have a friend with them. Heck, I pierced them. He likes them but I think they are ugly. I would never want them.

People see it as being risky and havin "balls" so people like them plus it keeps nipples hard all the time so you can guess from that

oh a usefull answer, they draw atention to the area, plus ornamentation is usualy an enhancement visualy, unless totaly overdone, this is why tatoos are taking off also.
