In My Personal Opion I've Always Loved the Orginal Age Of Empires And Especially Liked Age Of Empires 2 And Its Expansion,
Then all of a sudden AOE started sucking.. Age Of Mythology was a flop And AOE3... well... Im not bagging on all you AOE3 lovers, but I think it lost something, Now if they made a modern AOE2 that would rock, but thats like seeing flying monkeys... totally unbeilievable I've experianced all the aoes thus far... even the demos, man... when i was young and the first aoe demo was out... now that was fun....
I say, If u really liked the first AOEs this game could be a sad disappointment, but if you haven't really played the others, i could see the apeal in the newer versions, its based all on preference,
So someone reading this, is like ok what do i do?
Go download the demo of age of empires 3, if you like the demo go buy the game, if not you saved yourself some cash.

After having used this game for the last 8 months, I can say that this game is simply a normal extension of the Age of Empires games. I have used the last version of this game, and I think this version is an progress in virtually every way. The weapons are very powerful, and the battles are very stunning. All I can say is that this game is really good. It is one of the best strategy games I have ever played.
Give it a try.

Yes, if you like great graphics have a great computer, and you are rich.
though I like empire earth better, it's cheaper, has 3 times as many ages and it was made by the same people.

all of the age of empires games have turned out good so far in my opinion but that depends on you and your taste for games.
