actually your answer would be 7.63 x 10^-4 when using scientific notation.
You move the decimal over so that there is a whole number & decimals if necessary and then multiply it by a negative exponent if you move the decimal place to the right, positive if you move to the left. In this case you move 4 places to the right so the answer is 7.63 x 10^-4 cg.
