Hi all,

I lost a ring which was a gift from my godmother years ago and now, by chance, I found one online that's really similar to mine but there's few problem:
1) it's size 6.5; mine's 8 - 8.5
2) it's sterling silver; mine was 18k platinum
3) its stone is periot; mine was alexadrite/blue sapphire (should be alexandrite but it's too long ago and I forgot)

I asked that online store and they refuse to do either of those for me. So~ is there a place out there that would custom-make a ring for me if I show them the pic, or even get them that "wrong" ring? It's just...those 3 issues have to be addressed properly.

Please help~ Thanks!

Take it to a reputable jeweler. Sounds like something that could be done. However, expect it to be extremely pricey. Either 18 kt gold or platinum is very expensive, and both natural alexandrite and sapphires are not cheap. You could use lab-created stones to cut down on costs, but any custom work is going to quite a bit more then ready-made goods. Good Luck!

i imagine it truly relies upon on the position you're taking it. My fiance and that i purchased my engagement ring (3 stones) in products.. a collection of earrings, and the middle stone. I picked out the band & the prongs to carry the stones and they assembled it.. and it in reality took about 3 days. We went to Shane company.

Any local jeweler will do the work if you have the cash. Most do make and midfy rings daily.
