Napolitano.

Arizona has a history in the last 20+ years of choosing questionable candidates for the governorship & then once again suffering national
embarrassment at yet another scandal or outrageous incident/affront/remark/display from the governor.

Napolitano doesn't fit this mold. Neither ideologue nor criminally inclined, Napolitano has governed as a moderate politician who has shown herself to have a very common sense, down to earth approach to government ( while lacking any of the usual shrill or wild-eyed invectives) and thereby earned my respect & my vote.

From a demographic p.o.v., this once Republican bastion has seen huge population growth in Maricopa county, which covers the largest cities save for Tucson, Yuma & Flagstaff. The newcomers are somewhat more Democrats, making it easier to get a Dem elected in a still more heavily Republican electorate.

Also, there are no touch screen voting machines yet deployed in AZ, so it is still possible for Democrats to actually get elected.

;-)

I believe Munsil will be the next Governor. He seems to have a lot of support and his border policies seem better than Napolitanos. I do imagine a close race though...

I don't know, but they need to get rid of Napolitano and get someone who would enforce strict immigration laws.

Too bad Joe Arpaio isn't running !
