You really need to know that for nearly all 'herbal medicine' and 'alternative medicine' there's little evidence that any of it works. If it works then it's simply called 'medicine' and used by doctors and hospitals. If there's little or no evidence it works then its called something else. Most of the schools and training organisations are very poorly run; they exist to take your money then provide (in many cases) basic information, with some of it completely incorrect. They tend not to be accredited and their qualifications are rarely recognised by employers (this is why so many are self-employed, it's the only way they can sell this stuff, i.e. one-on-one). What is worse, is that some of these schools can convince you that you can 'diagnose or treat illness' when of course you can't. If someone came to you for advice and they had a life-threatening condition, how would you feel if they died because they took advice from you rather than a real medical doctor? It's great that you want to help people but there's plenty of real medical careers out there, no need to risk lives with fake medicine and poor training.

Highly recommend my favorites: Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine (Murray & Pizzorno) and Prescription For Natural Cures (Balch & Stengler). Each book has good discussion and lots of advice on all kinds of natural therapies. Also check out Let's Get Well by Adelle Davis.

My cancer doctor told me to buy Mannatech Products, specifically Phyte Aloe and Ambrotose (the orig, not the AO). Go to WWW.Ambrotose.com (if I misspelled this, try ambratose). Good luck.
