I have replaced the MAP, the sparks, the wires, the coil pack, the fuel filter, throttle bare. Fuel pump is fine so I've been told, same with the injector. Car idles when I start it but the second I shift it goes dead. Not a violent death; just straight to the board.

you have a bad ground or a loose connection to a main hot wire , when the car is in gear the motor shifts forwards and backwards on the motor mounts causing the wire to lose connection, try starting the vehicle and get out and rock the car back and forth and see if it does the same thing...good luck

Tried reading the fault codes? Cheap units available at national auto parts stores; Advance, Auto Zone, NAPA, etc.. Try this first. Start car and lift hood and find square plastic enclosure on the MAF[Mass Air Flow] sensor between air cleaner and throttle body. Tap the square with the handle of a screwdriver. A good knock but not enough to break it and if the car quits, this sensor is bad. This is likely to be the culprit seeing you replaced most of the common faults. If this does not work get the code reader and save some time and money

If fuel injected your injectors need cleaning.
If your using CHEAP grade gas QUIT IT!! It causes pluging of injectors. Don't EVER run on empty or get real low gas in tank for that is wonderful way to get particles from the bottem of tank in the injectors.. need to use superior gas quality.

could desire to in all probability be a catalytic converter difficulty. Does the vehicle enhance up at as quickly as once you momentarily punch the throttle? whilst it does run sturdy will it attain impressive speeds and enhance up like it used to? If no longer i could have the gas clear out checked alongside with pump rigidity. The rigidity regulator may be a difficulty yet generally the diaphram ruptures and sends uncooked gas to the crankcase. additionally examine Idle Air administration.
