One day I went into the garage and my brake lights were on. They were not on when I put the car in the garage. I changed the brake switch and they are still on. What could be the problem? Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks

Take your foot off the brake! What kind of boat do you have that has brake lights?

The easiest way to tell is to reach down and pull up on your brake pedal while someone else looks. That'll tell you if for some reason there needs to be an adjustment to the pedal or switch. (even though you've already replaced the switch)

Did they stay on when you had the brake light switch disconnected ??? If they remained on you have a short....Do you have a trailer light conversion kit on your vehicle ? I've seen these short out... Good Luck

If the breaks are worn down to far sometimes that causes and also check your break fluid level. Sometimes if you back up a long ways and apply breaks several times while backing up helps. If not take the car in and get breaks checked before you get rear ended.

you could have a bad switch, check under your brake peddle for
for a switch and adjust it up or down. have someone who knows about cars do it for you.
