I've read about this a couple of times now and I'm wondering if anyone has done it and how detailed the results are, how much it costs and so on. Thanks.

I already know my family history back to the 1800's, but I want to go back further than that. Otherwise I would obviously just ask my family!

Anne, go to the National Geographics website. They have a program that tracks your DNA back a long, long way. Not cheap but it can be done.

No, but I wish I could prove my American Indian heritage, My boss's friend gets $8000 per month from the Indian casino! And he is just a white boy like me.

No but that would be way cool . Bet still, the best way to determine that is just to talk to your grandpa ( yeah i know, most of us would rather stick a needle in our hand but still - its cheaper)
