I purchased a computer and later saw that it had no slot to insert a floppy disk. What do I record on instead? I assume CDs but I am not sure (if so) which ones to buy. Someone out there please help a novice.

Buy yourself a jump/flash drive from radio ahack or wal-mart..Those plug into your USP ports and,are much easier to use than a Cd.

You can get an external floppy disk drive on ebay cheaper than in a store.

You should definately get a USB flash drive to copy any of your files to. If you're just looking to copy over documents and pictures, then you sould get a 256-512 MB flash drive/stick.

They cost relatively cheap nowadays, probably under $20 at walmart or walgreens.

Blank CD's are pretty much non-standardized. Buy which ever one is the cheapest or lasts longer. There are special CD's DVD's that cost a little more.
