U2 is recording a cover of a punk '70's classic "The Saints Are Coming," (by The Skids) with Green Day. (although the bands won't be in the same studio) with proceeds to benefit Hurricane Katrina relief.
I believe U2 is recording in Paris, and some really sketchy homemade bootlegs of some of a few of the new tracks were bouncing around the internet for a while

I've always wanted to be asked this.
U2 are an example of how a band with basically no musical talent whatsoever can sell kazillions of records, become hugely popular and get rave reviews purely because they talk like they're a great band, they dress like they're a great band, they behave generally like they're a great band and more or less every music journalist ever has some sort of emotional investment in believing that they're a great band.
They are the first ever rock band to achieve immortality and critical success solely through marketing and production, without the benefit of any instrumental or vocal skill or even half-decent songwriting.

well Bono is very busy doing what he feels is right for for the poverty stricken and i am an avid member as well,but the ONE CAMPAIGN,is a good realization of the less fortunate than us ,i'm an indian but dont think that because of that i dont care about all ppl and want everyone to prosper as he does as well.And as for me too i'm just fine doll ty for asking,have a great day and eat well
