What the extreme right is doing makes me feel that its better being liberal. The moderately liberal people are the true followers of God.

Tok H thats what I mean, moderately liberal people try to be better people nothing to do with politics. They try to accept everybody as equal people of God. They feel that arrogance will bring bad karma. They do not try to shoot Mexicans crossing the border. They feel what can we do so Mexicans live a better life. I think these are Godly trais.

I tend to think they are just because they are usually more broad-minded and accepting of all kinds of people. Whereas I find conservatives more narrow-minded and repressed, and more exclusionary. I think they see the world in black and white (ie. if your unemployed you're lazy, if you get bad grades you're stupid or lazy) whereas liberals would see the shades of grey of the particular situation instead of jumping to conclusions.

Anyways, the world would be boring if everyone was the same, so I realize that there has to be a reason for stubborn conservatives.

Guess you're saying you're a liberal and that liberals are right. Conservatives say that they're right. Christians, Muslims, Jews and other religions each say that they're right.

Somehow, anyone can believe and prove that they're right. Personally, I prefer to look at the whole picture of how different cultures interact instead of proving that mine is right. That might not make me right, but at least it keeps me from getting into unnecessary and pointless arguments or wars.

On the other hand, Bush and his bunch are no more than vicious, lying, thieving, murderous, power-mad traitors. I don't say this because I have some other political or religious persuasion, but because it's self-evident.

A better person is a matter of opinion. Liberals try to work for the perfect goals and try to trust their theories (if you got rid of all guns there would be no gun crimes). Conservatives accept that nothing is perfect and they try to stay with the ideas that have worked in the past (if you got rid of all guns, the criminals would built more guns). As for the true followers of God, that is something that only God knows and none of us have that wisdom.

I would not relate religion and politics. And as for liberals, it really all depends on the person. That having been said, I think that liberals appear politically correct and at that appearance they are better than most people, however, they also require rules and adherence to rules to create an equitable society, however, all that accomplishes is a loss of freedom.

I think Socalist people are the closest followers of God because they believe there shouldn't be any poverty in world. The greatest evil in the world is poverty.

Nope...we are all flawed in our own special way...

But I do believe that moderate folks no matter their religion, politics, gender, orientation, etc. are the best hope for humanity.

Don't know what you perceive the right doing, because you haven't stated it.... But you're in for a big surprise on the second part of your statement...

I find liberals tend to read a lot of "studied and researched" authors on subjects. They don't watch things like FOX or CNN for their info because they feel it's not informative enough. Not in depth enough.

So I like to hang with them and learn from them; they seem sincere to me. I'm generalizing of course, but you get my drift.
