I am majoring in International Relations and I'm not really sure what jobs I can get with that. I know I dont want to run for office, I'd like to maybe work for the UN but isnt it practically impossible to get a job with the UN? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

well, i am also majoring in IR, and the good thing about this major is that u have many types of jobs u can choose from.
perhaps, maybe u want to work in an intl. development agency, so it might be a good idea to do some volunteering with peace corps, it might open u a few doors.
or maybe u want to work with a multinational company, it all depends which path u want to take .

Go to grad school... I tried stopping at a BA, ended up working at Home Depot. Pay was lousy, but compared to E Europe desk at CIA (12 hrs difference), the hours were great ;). With a master's or PhD, you can do work for State, NSA, CIA, UN, Foreign Service (ie State), military attache, even FBI.

Check the UN website, they do have a substantial job listing. I have looked into it before. Wish you much luck.
