Me and my husband are trying to have a baby. I bought some prenatal vitamins, and I was wondering if they increase your chances of becoming pregnant.

No they don't increase your chances of becoming pregnant but good on'ya for buying them and taking them before you become pregnant..

As it doesn't increase the chances of conception, it does increase the chances of having a healthy baby.. Having your body in peak condition before pregnancy (and prenatals help you do that) is the best advantage to having a healthy baby.. There are certain things that happen at conception before you even know you are pregnant.. and if you're already making healthy choices you're one step ahead of the game!

Good luck! I hope you get pregnant soon!

Prenatal pills do help before you become pregnant. They prepare your body for a future pregnancy. Prenatal pills provide your body with nourishment you may not get with just eating right. It gives you a better chance at sustaining a pregnancy and helps to prevent miscarriages due to lack of minerals or vitamins. I am taking prenatal pills now because i actually miscarried 3 weeks ago and i wanted to replenish what the pregnancy took from my body. You should also take prenatal pills if you breast feed a baby to make sure you have enough vitamins for you and the baby...............Oh, and when i was TTC, it took me and my partner 5 months to conceive. Don't give up. also, Its not only you who needs to eat right and take vitamins. Its also a good idea for him to have a multivitamin each day.

It won't increase your chances of gettin pregnant but like some of the other people said, it will increase your chances of having a healthy baby! I would just start temping and charting, that's the best way to do it! Good luck and i hope you succeed!

No they do not increase your chances, they only make your body MORE ready to accept a baby and be able to care for the growing baby better. I have been trying for two months.

They don't increase your chances of becoming pregnant, but it's a great thing to be taking them while trying to conceive because they will help with the baby's earliest development and will actually lower your baby's risk of spina bifida and similar disorders.

Nope, they are just vitamins. Will help your hair and nails and overall health though. Doesn't hurt to take them when you are not pregnant. They are good multivitamins.
