Some would agree with him about Bush being the Devil, but do you think he crossed the line with his speech.

The nicest thing I could say about him is that he has no class.

My honest opinion is he's a tin horned little dictator but a danger to the US because of his proximity to the US and his hatred for the US and his friendship with Iran. He has no manners, no class and seems drunk on power.

Yes I certainly do think he crossd the line. The UN is "supposed" to be for diplomacy. There is no place in the UN for that type of bar room rhetoric. He embarrassed his country and himself with his performance.

Hugo Chavez is a brutal dictator who should have stayed home. We need to quit letting in these people who are evil just because they say they are going to that corrupt organization the UN. To come to my country and insult my President, my country and me is just stupid. Did he think he would win friends doing this? To those Americans(?) who welcomed him what were you thinking? This did not increase your support among your fellow Americans.

As the man said pretty entertaining but perhaps a bit inflammatory. then we don't have a good track record down south. Remember 9-11-1973? Of course you don't? That's when we over threw the government of Chile and shot the democratically elected president Salvadore Allende. He must feel he has nothing to lose.
Hey and who do we send? John Boulton. Up to now, the worlds most undiplomatic diplomat.
Now we should just say "Shut up Baby Huey, and just keep the oil flowing if you know whats good for you."

Chavez is a clever guy. The el diablo joke was meant to be funny, not rabble-rousing. Chavez will be good for Venezuela, once more of the south american countries become politically independent of the USA they can start rebuilding their economies.

Chavez was quite entertaining compared to Bush, who is either heavily coached or idiotic. When Bush sounds like he needs a nap, everyone apologizes. So what Chavez is not American. Let the man SPEAK!.

I think it is very un-world-leader like to engage in name calling of the leader of your host country. It's a cheap publicity stunt by a second-rate populist who's probably lining his own pockets while claiming to be a "man of the people." Right.

no, are you kidding me? he is one of the most outspoken people in the world of politics and i supprt his comments...i think that it is funny how he makes these comments to presidents especially Bush who looks like half of the time he is faking it and belongs in Texas on a ranch. many americans will take it seriously and agree with Bush but screw that: what good as he done since he came into office?oh yeah let me think: he put us in more debt, our deficit is out of control-in the trillions -he spends more on war than on education, went to war with other countries that do not want anything to do with the US...i think that Mr. Chavez's comments were honest and funny about what we call our leader and President...
