If you like colors for names, then I say go with it. Your opinion is all that matters. But, since you are looking for opinions or feedback, here is mine... I like them. They invoke days of romance and galantry.

I personally like names from the olden days, such as Amelia, Claire, etc., so Scarlett and Violet definitely fall in that category, as do Marie and Catherine... Classic names.

I don't know what your or your daughters' last name would be, but it would be wise to make sure that your daughters' initials don't come up as words or intials that you wouldn't want them to be associated with...

Example: Michael Andrew Davidson (MAD).

I had a friend in high school who's name is Valerie Darlene (VD).

Congratulations on your twins!

I like Violet and Scarlett as the first names for twin girls -
I think that it is very Elegant & Lovely

as for the middle names - I personally would prefer something more modern since the first names are more classic by themselves

Here are some that go great with the first names

Violet Ava
Violet Gia
Violet Wrae
Violet Halle
Violet Lenae
Violet Farrah
Violet Tristyn

Scarlett Paige
Scarlett Fiona
Scarlett Mena
Scarlett Brielle
Scarlett Alaina
Scarlett Jazmine

I always have felt that when we name our children, we need to think about them in the future. What sort of reaction will these kids have when they interact in school with other children? Children can be cruel and unusual names will be made fun of so with that in mind, I will tell you that I like the middle names but do not like the first names. Catherine is a very elegant name. I have always liked that..Congrats on the babies!

I love the first names, but I agree with some of the other posters in that the middle names would sound better switched.
