Are employers more concerned about felonies or will some employers not hire a person because of a misdemeanor

It depends on how long ago it was. In CA it only stays accessible for 7 years. Most employers don't even check it's just on the application. If you do have a misdemeanor within 7 years you can always list it, some employers will hire you some won't.

If you are only talking about something like a speeding ticket I doubt the employer is going to be overly concerned but a felony on the other hand is something different altogether unless you find a super good person willing to give you another chance.

misdermeanors are the most common ,they cant hold them against you ,and felonies cant be as well as long as you let them know you had one,but there have been times i havent said a word and they never known any different
