The Micro and SP are both just snazzier Game Boy Advances, so yes, both do play Game Boy Advance games.

The Micro is a GameBoy Advance, just a different body shell and stuff.

the gameboy advance sp can play gba games too, but has a bit of problem playing the old big cartridges

Duh! It's just a mini gameboy advanced. It's also just a way for the Nintendo company to make money off of people because they can't think of more creative systems. It dosen't even play gamboy color games! If yo don't have it, don't, I repeat, DON'T buy it! I learned the hard way.
