Still Conservative, and clean as a whistle, Perfessor! I am extremely angry with my man GWB due to his stance on immigration. He needs to open his eyes, as do many of our legislators from both parties and Houses, and see what Americans are demanding. This border stuff is nuts! Seal it up already!!

PS - Have a good night, Sir!

I am sure there are some, but to even consider that Bush is a conservative would be an ignorant observation. Were liberals disillusioned when Clinton was playing hide the cigar, while attacks on the U.S. were occuring with no retaliation.

Excuse me that is the white house it belongs to the people its not a whore house. What about while Clinton sold bedrooms at the white house like motel 6.

Why do liberals feel that giving someone 900.00 dollars a month keeping them on welfare, subjecting them to living in projects, not allowing them to escape that terrible life is doing them any favors. I am not disillusioned with Bush, I want him to start acting like a Conservative.

Bush is not a full conservative. He is a social conservative a fiscal moderate and international issue liberal.

On the social issues is he done fairly well. The no child left behind act showed how even the principals with their doctrorate degrees had a hard time passing the high school exit exam (teachers, principals and superattendents have to take the exit exam every year as well). There just isn't an excuse for the people teaching unable to pass these tests.

He secretly got his retirement issue resolved. Remember getting those people off social security? Well Social Security will still be around, but now businesses can force their workers to have a 401k or Roth 401K. With the average 65 year old that even has a 401K plan, has on average of $65,000 in it. Social security might pay their taxes on that sum and that's about it. Unfortuately he has passed the $10 trillion bill to a future president. That's the supposed deficit just for Social Security. He also passed the $30 trillion from Medicare since the idea under the new plan was to save Medicare patients money and not to address the deficit. This won't go away because the social security and Medicare money was already spent in the general fund which issued IOUs in place of the money. That means the general fund is going to be down this much. I think the $40 trillion in hidden debt is the number one fiscal complaint that conservatives have, which isn't being addressed.

He helped clean up the accounting mess at those major companies.

He has also helped get the U.S. out of Clinton's recession policy by hiring the right people.

As far as the stem cell issue, that's a little tricky. He allowed some stem cell lines to be used. The scientists say they are corrupt. I say they will learn a whole lot about bioengineering if they can develope a system to clean the lines because that's basically what they are going to be using those stem cells for anyways and that is part of their job as bioengineers (to clean cells of unwanted problems).

He has also helped bring immigration to the fore front although this was basically because a breakdown of laws and stategies from 20 years ago. Making those 12 million illegal aliens citizens is not going to stem the tide of illegal immigration. That's where it broke the last time. Patroling the boarder with sensors isn't going to solve the problem either. The boarder patrol catches too many illegals to process so they are let go by a judge and most are never seen again. East Germany had a wall too and that didn't work out well either

His critics wanted him to work with other people like the UN to handle foreign affairs. That has turned into an abysmal affair in both Lebanon and Iran. The Lebanon now wants a prisoner swap. The Lebonese government is basically admitting they are with Hezbollah on that statement. The French general refuses to disarm Hezbollah and wants Lebanon to do it. Lebanon says they won't disarm Hezbollah. The UN doesn't even want to disarm the thugs in Haiti wanting the Haiti police to do it. The Haiti police don't want to disarm the thugs either. The old saying, "If you want it done right, you will have to do it yourself" definitely applies to foriegn policy. I don't think he bothers enough to address that issue.

He also hasn't addressed the issue of torture. While the idea of the rack and burning coals are running through peoples minds, giving people a wedgie and calling them a sissy is also considered acts of torture under the Geneva Convention. The things that go on at a school yard and boot camp would be considered acts of torture. I don't think the president needs to get authorization to use the dreaded pat on the shoulder/back, which is also banned.

The president hasn't gone after the war profiteers. While the public list of wrong doings is going on, he should be getting more of the misspent money back.

I blame Congress for the deficit since they are in charge of the purse, but with Katrina, Afganistan and Iraq I see it as understandable for the short term. But Bush could do more in finding the fraud, especially from the supposed tens of billions of dollars not collected in taxes each year. Bush should be pushing for more IRS agents and stopping the IRS from using outside debt collectors which are said to be more expensive from the stories I've been reading. He should also be ending subsidies in all forms. Even most of the farm subsidies are going to the big corporations. Military constracts are basically a subsidies like the C-130 and C-17 programs (making planes the military doesn't want because they say they have more than enough). I think Bush should be pushing for a change is how the money is taken in and spent. The income should be a real number rather than theoretical like it is now (the money is spent before the money rolls in so Congress has no idea if they are going to go over budget). Bush should file fraud charges with every contract that goes over budget. Companies are underbidding and then charging the difference later. It makes it seem like he is on the deal (don't bite the hand that feeds you) so that's why I think he is a fiscal moderate (he is going after some of the abuse I mentioned earlier).

Foriegn relations conservatives are isolationists, thinking domestic priorites trump the international scene, but it's common for presidents that are failing domestically to tout their foriegn relations agenda. Bush is actually doing fine domestically, but he has had a massive foriegn agenda. That's why I think he is a foriegn relations liberal. Foriegn relations conservatives are for a military draw down and responsible for all those base closings. Foriegn relations liberals are for a large military (and a large peace corp), because they need people representing the U.S. to solve the world's problems. Even if it wasn't shooting people, the soldiers would be growing crops in Africa just to justify a large military.

You got it wrong, dude. Bush is a Republican, not a conservative. And unlike the liberals did with Joe Lieberman, we don't trash someone for one point of disagreement.

Yes, I voted for him the first time. And to be honest there is not a day that goes by that I do not regret that mistake. To the rest of the world I apologize. Now all I can do is keep up the fight against evil (Bush and his followers) to repent.

I was always liberal on social issues and conservative on fiscal policy and a registered republican. Bush made me switch.

They would not convert from a conservative, but from a conservative that backed Bush.

Wow, do you have any idea what you are talking about?

I've been dissappointed by the lack of support for our president and his causes.

I've been dissappointed by the American people and by the democrats.
