A message saying Secondary Master Drive-Atapi Incompatible appears when I boot in Windows XP? Then my DVD drive is not recongized? What should I do to solve the problem?

Check to see if you have connected the atapi cables right. If that not the probably change your dvd to be your secondary slave. Also check your jumpers on the back of your dvd drive, make sure to set it master if your using it as your master drive. Set it slave drive if your main drive.

Jumper pin may not be set correctly on back of DVD drive. Make sure jumper pin is set to master(MA). Also you have used the right end of the IDE cord to the motherboard and drive.

If you have 2 optical drives, Set the DVD Burner jumper to "master", and the other drives jumper to "slave". You can't have 2 drives on the same IDE cable set to "master".
