In grade 12 I was "ruining someone's Christian life".

You WERE to goody good.... however "ruining someones christian life"..... umm wow isn't that a contradiction!!
Take it from someone who knows.... you should have rebelled just a little bit more when you were young, and I mean not just painting someones pant legs white. I find it hilarious how you could "ruin someones christian life" though...you grew up in an overly religious home.

Anyway as for the question.... I apperently said something horrible about her family (something like they should go live in a dumbster). When all I had said, to another friend, was that I was tired of the friends sobbing over her parents break up. I understanded the sobbing but does it really have to go on for 5 weeks, while dragging all our friends down with her!? Anyway like I said... it got over exaggerated into me apperently saying "You're too poor go eat and live out of a dumbster". And that was the end of that friendship.

well I left the church i use to attend and apparently thats like jumping off the deep end . I am in a church I really like now but I have no friends so I lost 4 friends that way . people will always find reasons to stop being friends with you the question for you is were you ruining someone's christian life ? if not than you have no reason to be concerned if you continue to be kind and friendly to others you will make new better friends . I'm not saying its going to be easy . Its hard to say goodbye to friends but life goes on and you will be fine .

True story #1: In high school my "best friend" ended our friendship because her little brother ruined my jacket and I told her that he was badly behaved. She got really mad and claimed I was saying her mother was a "bad mother" (I never said that) and never spoke to me again.

True story #2: A friend after college asked me SERIOUSLY if, since my husband and I don't have children, would I mind if he fathered a child with her because she wanted to have a baby even though she was single. When I said no way, she got mad and said why not, you're not using his sperm, it doesn't make sense that you don't have kids yet, and ended our friendship.

I guess I have had some nutcase friends!!!
