I would suspect that it's mostly from their blue jeans. Also, if they wear black pants (slacks or jeans), if the black dye transfers to other things, it looks blue. I guess even if they're wearing white shirts tucked in, they still have enough contact with their pants to pick up lint from them.

What a curious and unusual question for someone to come up with... :)
