Just hang it on a wall with the position just like outside.

how ever you want, just as long as the majority of those seeing it will see the stars in the top left-hand corner. if you hang it on a stage make sure that the audience sees it this way. if you hang it in a window and you live on a very busy street make sure the people on the street see it correctly. and if you are displaying it with other flags make sure that the american flag is displayed higher than the others.
