Okay. I do not want to just give away the answer before you even understand it. Or else that'll be cheating, verdad?
#1 These all have different denominators. Therefore, find the Least Common Multiple.
#2 There is: 2, 3, 6, 12, 8, 8
Okay, at some point in time, you'll hit "24" 24 is the Least common Multiple!
#3, In order to get 24 as the denominator without changing the quantity, what do you do? Multiply both the numerator and the denominator. If you don't understand what I mean, let's say there is a pizza sliced in 2 pieces. You cut the pieces until there are 10 pieces. However, you still want to eat that same big slice of pizza. So, you take 5 pieces. 5 pieces is half of the pizza, right? To put this into mathematical terms--->1/2 (10 slices you want! So multiply by 5 to get 10 as denominator) 1*5/2*5 =5/10
So, basically multiply the denominator by a certain number to get a product of 24. And multiply that same number with the numerator.
#4 So I'll give you just 1 example for the question
1 and2/3 you want 24 as denominator....so 3x=24
x=what? x=8....of course so multiply the numerator and the denominator by 8. tada you get 1 and 16/24
Eventually you'll get
12/24, 1 and 16/24 (change this to improper fraction...it's more convenient so it will be 40/24), 20/24, 14/24, 51/24, 3/24

Now arrange from least to greatest depending on numerator

3/24, 12/24, 14/24, 20/24, 40/24, 51/24

Thus
1/8, 1/2, 7/12, 5/6, 1 and 2/3, 17/8

Good luck! E-mail any questions

I just did it quickly in my head, but get a calculator and put the fractions into percentages, then you will know what the smallest to the largest is.

1/8 = 12.8%
1/2 = 50%
7/12 = 58.4%
2/3 = 66.6%
5/6 = 83.3%
17/18 = 94.6%
1 = 100%

been a long time since I went to school, but to me the above is the most logical.

1/2=12/24
1=24/24
2/3=16/24
5/6=20/24
7/12=14/24
17/8=51/24
1/8=3/24

Now you can sort them.

Press "start"
then go to "run"
then type "calc"
then do it in decimals and write the order down, convert back and hey presto! Uve actually done your own homework.
...Well done!
0.5, 1, 0.67, 0.83, 0.58, 2.125, 0.125 if ure still uck, but I refuse to put them in order. At least do a little of ur homework urself

use your calculator to find the numeric value... for example 1/2 is 0,5... and so on. Then you can use Excel to order it for you
