Why is Black and Scholes clubbed with the Masteros of the past like Bernoulli, Pascal, Fermat,Gauss etc;?

Maybe because Scholes almost broke the banking system trading the TET spread on Treasuries, and the fed had to bail them out?

The Black/Scholes model is still valid. There are several more complex models, but the answers are nearly the same.
