We have had it with Comcast. Our interenet has been down more then up in the last 2 months, and today it was down for almost 12 hours. They cant seem to find the problem and keep passing the buck onto the next repair guy. So I think we are going to switch any good or bad feed back appreciated!!

Comcast is an overly expensive company, they are more expensive then Cox and Cox is rual. However, I have nothing but good compliments about ATT Yahoo DSL. I have been a user for almost 7 years now and the internet has only gone down twice (TWICE) and a few more times because of my technical stupidity. DishNetwork is alright as well, when I had their Sattelite i was very pleased with the service and its ability.

Hi There:

In regards to AT & T Dish Network I have had it for a little over a year, and I absolutely love it. My husband loves all the sports options available and I love all the pay per view movies that are available...Lots of program options...The reception is crystal clear, and I live in Michigan where we get lots of snow and rain, and maybe it has gone out a couple of times...but when it goes out it comes back within a 30 minute time frame. I would never go back to cable (terrible service all around).

As far as DSL I have had it since it was SBC (now AT & T).. I have had dsl for 3 years and absolutely love it...Love the options especially all the e-mail addresses you get and the launchcast music is great...

You get a discount if you combine all of your services together with AT & T.... Overall: The best experience...Would never swith...Good luck...

AT & T has a promotion going on right now till September 30, 2006...Go to the following link: att.com/choice Use the following Mail Code: SWITCHNOW

After that just follow the screen and it will take you to all the promos avaiable for all services provided by AT & T..
If you prefer to call the number is 1-888-722-5870

GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!

I dislike comcast too and just disconnected their internet service. They charge a lot of money for the same services and dont have tiered levels of access from AT&T (which I like). Atleast I pay for what kind of service I need v/s get high bandwidth service to just read email.
I say good decision. I am also exploring Dish network options instead of Comcast Cable

In my opinion dish network is the better of the two satalite TV companies. I do not have DSL I can't get it where I live. I had to purchase Wireless satalite internet that don't work real good. I have a problem with AT&T. The have agreed to turn over any phone or internet records to your fed goverment without a warrant. this means that uncle sam can request any information that they want to get on your phone records or internet activities without a warrant, Think about this before you purchase.

I use DSL and it is very good and reliable on my computer.

As to Dish network for television, if you are converting from a cable provider, the only problem I have is reception during heavy rain storms. I use direct TV and their reliabilty is great. Except for the problem with heavy rainstorms interrupting the satellite signal.

One other thing....if you are going to a satelite dish, I would recommend you not mount it on your roof if you don't have to. I mounted mine to a fence post in my backyard out of view. By doing this, I don't have to get on a ladder to make adjustments to optimize reception.

I have both and love it. Sure you will lose your satelite in heavy storms but it's not bad. Make sure they install your dish where you can reach it with a broom or something. In winter the snow covers it and will knock out your reception. I spray mine with Pam or RainX before the snow and it keeps the snow off. AT&T has a deal of $12.99/month right now so you can't beat it! Time to switch!
