Ok, my best friend came up with a problem. Her exboyfriend is trying to get back with her and told her that he broke up with the girl that he used to be with. My best friend does not believe him at all. My best friend has his exgirlfriend's email address and was thinking of contacting her to ask her about their relationship. Would it be okay for her to do that or what can she do to find out from another source other than her exboyfriend?

If she trusts him so little that she needs to do that then she shouldn't go back with him regardless of whether he broke up with the girl or not.

If she doesn't believe him, she needs to trust her instincts and maybe just try a platonic friendship and see if any of her old feelings come back, or if her lack of trust gets stronger or anything. She needs to not start prying around and asking too many questions. That almost always comes back to haunt you, and she may find out some hurtful information, some things she was better off not knowing. She just needs to trust herself, and trust her instincts.

Definately! I have done that in the past to find that my ex fiance was lying to me. She can just put on there that she's not wanting to ruin their relationship by being the other girl, so she needs to know. She could tell her that he is trying to get back with her and she wants the girl to know just in case he's trying to cheat on her. It would be better if she could talk to her in person or on the phone though - that way she can judge her reactions. Good Luck

That is none f anyones else's buisness. They obviously didn't work out for a reason. If she is going to have trust issues with him already then maybe he is not worth being with. you girls have got to stop settling. What helped me through my jealousy is that I just toild myself over and over if he doesn't want to be with me then it just means that it is not meant to be. God does everything for a reason and you have to truly believe that. Tell her not to worry about it. It will jsut cause more stress on her part.

What did she break up with b/f for? First all she shouldn't get back with him. He's just playing games with both girls next thing you know he's going to break up with your friend to get back witht he other. Just convince her to drop the loser and finds someone better and start a new and better relationship with someone else.

Her ex boyfriend is her "ex" for a reason. That reason won't change because he is no longer with a particular girl. As far as contacting his ex-girlfriend, it would yield nothing useful as she is unlikely to be truthful. Besides, it is generally bad practice to sneak around behind people's backs.
