I think people should accept the fact that God made them a certain way and they should stay that way. Look at Pamula Anderson! Did God want those all over the place? lol

Best Wishes! :D

Doctors rarely perform plastic surgery if the child is still growing. It could do more damage than good in the long run. I think it would be VERY hard to find a plastic surgeon who would do a nose job on a 13 year old girl. I've heard they don't even suggest it for 16 year old girls. I'm sure that 16 is probably the youngest they will operate on for a nose job unless it's a medical necessity for a deformation. Even so, if your daughter was 16 I would think that she would need parental consent if it isn't a medical necessity. I think you should allow her to make her own decision about this only when she turns 18. Even then her body may still be growing and she would have to be seen by a plastic surgeon to determine if it is safe to operate at that age. Yes, plastic surgery is painful and there is a recovery process of a few weeks to a few months. There are always risks of complications. In the next 5 years work on getting your daughter away from the idea of plastic surgery.

There is absolutely no way she should get a nose job so young, unless she clearly has a deformity. She should wait until she is 18 or 16 at the very least. Her nose will continue to change over the next few years anyway. If she hates her nose so much, but you don't see anything truly wrong with it, then the problem may be more pscyological than anything else and you should definitely not allow her to have this done at present. HTH : )

It's nice that you are taking her request seriously. At that age, I too wanted a nose job and my mother thought I was nuts and told me so. I love my nose now and in reality it isn't big at all. I think she is much too young for this kind of decison and yes, I hear there is alot of pain.
The good news is that at age 13 it will take a long time for her to save that kind of money. Delay her and once she starts dating and realizing that boys find her attractive, she may consider using the money for something more practical. Keep telling her she is beautiful and if her father is around have him do the same.

If your daughter is only 13 she hasn't finished growing yet, her facial features may well change as she grows older!
I don't know of an age limit i think it could possibly be 16 but i don't know for sure and i believe they brake your nose or shave the bone depending on how they are fixing it for a nose job so it can be quite painful!

Get nose job surgery in India. Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for American and Canadian patients, as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got a couple of cosmetic surgery procedures in India like the breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift through the forerunners healthcare. She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. I personally have seen the wonderful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company. I hope this helps.

You should be teaching your child to love herself the way she is particularly if it is for cosmetic reasons and not for health reasons. I think the age should be 18. Then she can make her own decisions. You're the parent. You still have 5 more years to convince her that she doesn't need a nose job.

She's just 13 and still very young. Maybe she heard people say something about her. Maybe she gets influenced easily by watching tv or reading magazines. maybe she'll grow to love and accept the way she looks. give her time she's still a 'kid'.

People should understand that GOD made their faces or their bodies special and they should accept it, he made everyone special to look and feel a certain way.....GOD made no mistakes when he made everyone and she should appreciate her body(nose) the way GOD appreciates it.
