Okay, but it's rather hard to do without being able to draw the division box.

1. Multiply both numbers x 100 so that you have whole numbers. You get 8460000 divided by 94.
2. 94 doesn't go into 84, so try putting 94 into 846. As far as I know, all you can do is guess values and check. 94 times 9 is 846 exactly.
3. Put 9 on top of the division box.
4. The remainder is 0, so don't bother putting a remainder underneath.
5. 94 goes into 0 no times, goes into the next 0 no times, and so on. Put four more zeroes on top of the box.
6. You should get 90000.

0.94) 84600
first determine how many times 94 will go into 846 without going over. It has to be more than 5, 6x94 is 564, 7x94 is 658, 8x94 is 752, 9x94 is exactly 846, that makes the problem so easy since you don't have to do more guessing like this
Since 94 goes into 846 exactly 9 times
you just need to know how to adjust the decimal point
.94 is 100 times 94 and 84600 is 100 times more than 846 so
9x100x100 = 90000

Add 2 zeroes to 84,600 and then, divide it by 94...
8,460,000/94=
Set it up in long division format...
OK... now, do the long division-thing...
Does 94 go into 8? No.
Does 94 go into 84? No.
Does 94 go into 846? Yes - how many times? 9 times.
Place a 9 above the 6 and multiply 9 x 94...
Write 846 under the 846 under the long division bar and subtract.
Nothing left over, right? Right...!
Nothing left to drop down, so just add 4 zeroes to the right of the 9 above the long division bar, place the commas where they go, and you're done...!

first you want to work with just whole numbers, not decimals; so bring your decimal on 0.94 over to the right two places to make it whole, but because you did that you must do the same to the 84600 (making it 8,460,000). Now that is done, it's just plain old long division.

Sure. First, I would multiply 0.94 by 100 to get 94. That number is easier to work with. You'll have to also multiply 84600 by 100 to get the same answer.

So, you have 8460000 divided by 94.

Take the first digit, 8.
94 goes into it 0 times.
0 times 94 = 0
Subtract that from 8
8-0=8
Your answer so far is "0"
The remainder is "8"

Shift the remainder and add the next digit 4 to get "84".
94 goes into it 0 times.
0 times 94 = 0
84-0 = 84
Your answer so far is "00"
The remainder is "84"

Shift the remainder and add the next digit 6 to get 846
94 goes into it 9 times.
9 times 94 = 846
846 - 846 = 0
Your answer so far is "009"
The remainder is "0"

Shift the remainder and add the next digit 0 to get 00.
94 goes into is 0 times.
0 times 94 = 0
0 - 0 = 0
Your answer so far is "0090"
The remainder is 0

Shift the remainder and add the next digit 0 to get 00.
94 goes into is 0 times.
0 times 94 = 0
0 - 0 = 0
Your answer so far is "00900"

The remainder is 0
Shift the remainder and add the next digit 0 to get 00.
94 goes into is 0 times.
0 times 94 = 0
0 - 0 = 0
Your answer so far is "00900"
The remainder is 0

Shift the remainder and add the next digit 0 to get 00.
94 goes into is 0 times.
0 times 94 = 0
0 - 0 = 0
Your answer so far is "009000"
The remainder is 0

So, your answer is 9000 with a remainder of 0

4m-a million | 12mmm +21mm -14m + 15 because of the fact it rather is 12m^3 you recognize the 1st area should be m^2 and four is going into 12 thrice. So attempt 3m^2 (4m-a million)(3m^2) = 12m^3 - 3m^2 + 12mmm + 21 mm - 12mmm + 3 mm (remember the indications could replace because of the fact of minus) ---------------- 24 mm -14m + 15 now 4 is going into 24 6 circumstances and you decide on mm so multiply by using m attempt: 6m (4m-a million)(6m) = 24mm -6m +24mm - 14m -24mm + 6 m ------------ - 8 m + 15 now 4 is going in -8 unfavourable 2 circumstances and you in trouble-free terms choose a million m so no might desire to multiply by using an m attempt: -2 (4m-a million)(-2) = -8m + 2 -8m + 15 +8m - 2 ------------- 13 putting all of it collectively your very final answer is 3m^2 + 6m - 2 the rest 13

84 600 / 0.94
move two decimals to the right.

8 460 000 / 94

use the calculator. if you arrived in a final answer, put the decimal two palces to the left.

assuming you can do normal long division, if you multiply each side by 100 it will be much easier, so 8460000 / 94, or ignore decimal place and multiply answer by 100.
