Of course she's upset and a little or a lot jealous. It's a big thing for teenagers.
The fact that your friend is happy for you says a lot for her. She's hurt, let her be. You would be disappointed too probably if she won and you didn't. Just be mindful of the situation with her and not rub it in. Maybe you can ask her for her help with doing your hair or something, make her very much a part of the celebration.

You have the perfect right to be happy! But, don't rub it in around her, that's insensitive to her feelings. If all else fails. Tell her you thought she had it in the bag! If she's really your friend and you hers.. you both should be supportive of each other.

Well same thing happened to me.
You should be happy for yourself, and she should be happy for you too because at least one of you won
BUT just make her know that you are there for her and put yourself in her shoes how would feel and act that way towards her, be supportive.

well she might be disappointed but its a good thing that she is trying to over come it and be happy for you. got to add mitt you would prob feel the same way so give her a little credit for trying.

yeah... be happy for yourself.. if your friend was a good friend she would be happy too... but dont make a big deal out of it and dont brag. If she isn't happy for you, she isn't really a good friend.
