Yes. I served 5 years in the Big House for it. Now I'm on probation and I've been warned to stay away from mattresses and pillows of all brands. I'm sleeping in a van down by the river.

Of course! I do it as often as possible. There isn't a pillow or mattress in my house that still has its tag. When I visit friends I pretend to excuse myself to the restroom and cut tags off their mattresses, too. Shhhhhh. I've been collecting them for years and have a special trophy case in my bedroom where I display them.
I like to break other laws as well just because I can. I drive with the sun visor still in my windshield, I use my hair dryer while napping, I swallow mouthwash, operate heavy machinery when I take pain medication, and use my toaster to dry socks. I do, however, always wash my hands before leaving the restroom. I'm not a dirty rebel.
You better be careful. I know where you live and your mattress tags are on my hit list.
