No job by itself uses only algebra. Almost all jobs in business and finance use algebra on a daily basis. Making change for somebody at a cash register requires algebra, but the register will do it for you. How many nickels, dimes, and quarters do you need to give change $ X = 25 Q + 10 D + 5 N

Well, I'm an accountant and I frequently used algebra on the job. Most engineers use it frequently, too.
