First you must convince yourself you don't want to proceed with those bad habits. I've done it with my addiction to marijuana, which everyone knows is a psychological addiction. I've simply told myself, I don't need it, it's a waste, and there is nothing that will make me do it again without me wanting to. You have to hold on to your resolve, you are the only one who desides for you. You may be influenced, but ultimately you are the one who says yes or no.

My will power is very strong, perhaps stronger than most people's I'm not sure. There are few people I know that can exert as much control over themselves as me. I'm able to influence my dreams in any way I want, most of the time. I'm able to wake myself whenever I want. I even open my eyes in a dream because I want to be sure there isn't someone around me. I tap into my hearing while asleep to make sure I'm not talking in my sleep sometimes. I also am able to stay fully conscious through sleep. I wouldn't recommend doing it too often though, it can cause sever migraines if you do it more than one night in a row. Also, eight hours, fully aware, I almost swore that I'd never wake up. It dragged out that long, just boring blackness.

You may not believe me, but I'm even able to flex my chi when I want to. I can displace it, I can mold it, I can shape it. I have even went into other people's dreams, and have confirmed it before. I've entered my mother's dreams often, and when I tell her about a dream she swears she was having the exact same dream at the same time. It's odd, I've even left my own body to dwell in another person's while they are awake. I've done this alot, feeling what they feel, seeing what they see, smelling what they smell. I have no control over them, but I still feel exactly what they are feeling.

If you simply dig, and dig you'll find that your mind is more powerful than you ever imagined. One way to test yourself is to put yourself into a truely painful posture, one that won't injure you, but one that you can barely tollerate. Tell yourself that the pain is just another sensation like cold or warm. Tell yourself that you can ignore it, that you won't notice it, that it holds no power over you. Try to hold this posture for a half an hour, focus on that pain, tell yourself that it cannot change your determination to keep that posture. You can even do this just by standing in one place for an extended period of time as still as you possibly can be. Men in tibet have been doing it for centuries, and they have mastered the art of will. Eventually you'll be able to make nothing bother you, not even that nagging you get when you don't do your bad habits. Constantly remind yourself you won't do it, that you are above it, that it doesn't control you, you control it. Once you have it mastered you can dive into harder feats of willpower. Like lucid dreaming.

If you're asking that question, you have no will power.
If you wanna quit a bad habit, just quit it. You don't USE your will power. You either have it or you don't. If you're looking for help to quit your habits, then you're gonna need a LOT of it. Otherwise you should be able to do it on your own. There's no secret, or special technique to "use" will power.

I think of bad habits as tests. If eating junk food is a bad habit you have, the next time there is free pizza somewhere or cake etc., think of it as a test you can pass or fail. It;s really all about mental power. Are you stronger mentally or weaker then those that coudln't put the junk food down. Thats what works for me anyway...

They say ignorance is bliss..try applying it by ignoring the cravings or desires. Keep occupied, don't think, stay on yahoo answers every spare moment, work as much as you can, tell yourself that your bad habits will destroy you and call GOD into your life for strength and support........other than that, lay down and prepare to die..........seriously, take my word for it..........
